Have you looked in the mirror recently and not recognised the older face with sagging skin looking back at you? If you want to love to see a more youthful face looking back at you then the PDO Thread Lifting treatment could be just the thing for you. PDO Thread Lifting is the latest in non-invasive skin rejuvenation and skin-lifting treatments, giving an immediate and visible result.
WHAT TO EXPECT
A local anaesthetic cream is placed on the injection sites to numb the skin before the threads are inserted. The threads are placed under the skin using thin needles. Once in place, the threads are pulled and the skin is tightened and plumped, by barbs, which embed themselves into the subcutaneous layer of your skin. Very small needles with the threads attached, are inserted under the skin. As the threads move through the subcutaneous layer, the medical professional will plump the skin around them, this causes the barbs to catch and tighten the treated areas. When the needles are removed, the threads are knotted and these knots become hidden under the skin. The entire treatment lasts for around an hour, and the results are immediate. As you remain awake throughout the procedure, it is possible for you to approve the results, as they take place. The threads dissolve after 6-9 months.
Thread lifting treatments are suitable for anyone who wishes to avail of non-invasive cosmetic surgery to combat the signs of ageing.
Thread lifting is a non-surgical method of achieving a younger-looking face and neck. It involves implanting very fine threads of polydioxanone, which have small barbs all along their length, in the subcutaneous layer of the skin. These are then pulled and tightened to give a lifted result. The threads also initiate an inflammatory response, which promotes the manufacture of collagen, and improve blood flow to the skin. The threads are biodegradable and naturally dissolve within about six months; however, the results can be seen immediately and will last for up to two years.
WHAT IS A THREAD LIFTING?
Thread lifting is a non-surgical method of achieving a younger looking face and neck by implanting very fine threads of polydioxanone, which have small barbs all along their length, in the subcutaneous layer of the skin. When pulled, the threads plump the skin and produce a smoother look. Polydioxanone is a biodegradable substance used in sutures, so the effect will only be temporary.
IS THREAD LIFTING SAFE?
As the threads are manufactured using the same material that is used in sutures, they are a very safe, biodegradable alternative to invasive face-lift surgery.
HOW DOES THREAD LIFTING WORK?
The threads are placed under the skin using thin needles. Once in place, the threads are pulled and the skin is tightened and plumped, by barbs, which embed themselves into the subcutaneous layer of your skin. The threads initiate an inflammatory response, which promotes collagen manufacture in the treated areas. This process also improves blood flow to the skin. The result is facial skin that looks younger and fresher.
The threads will dissolve after 6-9 months. However, the effects can be noticeable for around two years. The treatment improves lines and wrinkles, boosts skin tone, and lifts and tightens cheek and lower face.
The common side effects are generally connected with the injections sites and usually resolve themselves within two days.
