Skin booster is an injectable hyaluronic acid treatment designed to improve skin elasticity, hydration and radiance from within. Unlike dermal fillers that add volume, skin boosters are injected in micro-droplets directly into the skin to smooth fine lines, restore moisture and improve overall skin quality.
The treatment works by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin beneath the skin, improving laxity and texture progressively rather than through immediate volumisation. The result is skin that looks and feels genuinely healthier.

Your treatment begins with a consultation where your doctor will assess your skin, discuss your concerns and confirm suitability. Skin booster is suitable for most adults, with the exception of those who are pregnant or breastfeeding, or those with active cold sores, active infections or keloid scarring. Your doctor will tailor the treatment approach to your skin type and the areas of concern.
A numbing cream is applied before treatment begins. Micro-droplets of hyaluronic acid are then injected into the mid to deep dermis and directly into fine lines, followed by light massaging of the area to ensure even distribution. The session takes around 30 minutes. Some mild swelling or bruising may occur around the injection sites but typically settles within a few days. Skin improvement is progressive, with the best results becoming visible over the eight weeks following treatment.

Skin booster works differently from most other injectable treatments. Rather than adding volume or relaxing muscles, it focuses entirely on the quality of the skin itself. Hyaluronic acid is injected in very fine amounts directly into the dermis, where it hydrates at a cellular level and stimulates the natural production of four types of collagen and elastin. The effect is not a dramatic structural change but a genuine improvement in how the skin looks, feels and responds over time.
It is particularly effective for targeting fine lines in delicate areas such as the eyes, lips, and forehead, where other treatments are more difficult to apply precisely. It works well as a standalone treatment or as a complementary step alongside Profhilo for patients who want to address both skin structure and surface quality. Results develop progressively over eight weeks and maintenance is recommended every six months to sustain the improvement.
Following treatment, some simple precautions help protect the result and minimise any bruising or swelling. Your doctor will go through this before you leave.
