Your treatment begins with a consultation where your doctor will assess your hands, discuss your concerns and confirm suitability. Profhilo Hand is suitable for most adults, with the exception of those who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Your doctor will tailor the placement and approach to the specific needs of your skin before any treatment takes place.
On the day, a local anaesthetic is applied to the injection sites to keep you comfortable throughout. Injections are then placed at carefully selected points across the hands to ensure even distribution of the hyaluronic acid. Each session takes around 15 to 20 minutes. Two sessions spaced four weeks apart are recommended, with a review following the final session. Mild redness or swelling may occur but usually settles within 24 hours.
