Your treatment begins with a consultation where your doctor will assess the marionette lines, the surrounding lower face anatomy and your overall facial proportions before recommending an approach. The treatment is suitable for most adults, with the exception of those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.
A numbing cream is applied before treatment begins. Filler is then carefully injected along the marionette lines to add volume, soften the crease and improve the overall appearance of the lower face. The session takes around 30 minutes. Some mild swelling or bruising may occur but typically settles within 24 to 48 hours. The final result is best assessed two weeks after treatment once any residual swelling has fully resolved.
