What are Nasolabial Folds?

Nasolabial folds (also known as smile lines or laugh lines) are creases in your skin extending from both sides of your nose to the corners of your mouth. As we age, the creases can become prominent and permanent especially if you smoke, or if you don’t wear SPF to protect your skin from the sun, and with weight loss or weight gain.
With ageing the amount of collagen and elastin in the skin reduces and our skin starts to sag causing wrinkles to form that run from the nose down to the mouth giving the face an ageing effect.

SIDE EFFECTS
If you suffer from cold sores, make sure that you have an oral prescription prior to your treatment as it may provoke an outbreak. Common injection related effects may include:

These symptoms should resolve in 2-7 days.
AFTERCARE
Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen or Advil for two days after treatment; also, avoid them for one week prior to treatment Do not use ice on swollen areas after treatment Avoid exercise, except for walking, for 24 hours after treatment.
