E-luminate
E-luminate is a treatment that emphasises light reflection on the face and highlights certain areas. It achieves this through the combined use of strategically administered anti wrinkle and dermal fillers in several areas around the face, subtly enhancing and highlighting features such as the cheek bones, brow area, along the nose, forehead, chin and cupids bow. How does the treatment differ from dermal fillers and Anti-Wrinkle treatment? The clinician will create a bespoke plan with you to target areas around the face that you wish to highlight. It seeks to maximise the use of light on the face as opposed to adding volume to it through the use of product.
What to expect
The treatment takes about 30-45 minutes during which a local anaesthetic is applied to the injections sites on your face. Once you are ready, small quantities of the Anti wrinkle serum are injected. The filler is then injected at precise locations and the skin is massaged to smooth the material. During the treatment you will have a mirror so that you can see the results which appear immediately.
Suitable for
The treatment is suitable for most people. However, this treatment should be avoided by anyone with muscle problems; nerve damage; or who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
E-luminate Treatment
This bespoke semi-permanent treatment benefits patients for up to 6-12 months afterwards. It brightens and allows reshaping of features around the face whilst still maintaining a natural yet subtle defined silhouette.
Is e-luminate safe?
Anti-wrinkle injections are very safe due to the low concentration of the Anti wrinkle used in the injections. As are dermal fillers which are made up of molecular structures of Hyaluronic Acid, a substance already taking place in the body, there is a significantly decreased risk of an adverse reaction, and so are very safe treatments.
The side effects are minimal and temporary. The most common injection related reactions are:
- Swelling
- Redness
- Pain
- Itching
- Discolouration
- Tenderness
These generally resolve within 2 – 7 days.
If you suffer from cold sores, this treatment may trigger an outbreak.
- Do not take aspirin, ibuprofen, or advil for 2 days after treatment, OR for one week prior to treatment
- Do not Ice the swollen area as you may disturb the product placed
- Do not rub or massage face for 4 hours after treatment – this will spread the injected material to other muscles in your face
- Avoid exercise, apart from walking for 24 hours after treatment.
